Welcome to the website of the Chair for Modern European History
Research and teaching at the Chair cover European History between the late eighteenth and the twentieth century. The geographical focus of our research projects and classes is on Western Europe and beyond. We are interested in studying the similarities and differences between European spaces of experience but also look at interactions and exchange processes in a global perspective.
